Proud to call myself a Dorset Freemason
I own a Recruitment Agency along with my Brother-in-law specialising in Contractors for Change Management. After my wife and children; my biggest obsession and passion in life is ‘Brazilian jiu-jitsu’ (BJJ). Finding and falling in love with it later in life than most at the age of 39, I instantly became obsessed and have been a very active competitor, most usually winning gold in all competitions to date.
I was guided towards Freemasonry by my wife as her father was a Freemason. So having heard me often enquire keenly about him and his life as a Freemason, Sarah urged me to make contact for myself.
After a quick Google search I found the path surprisingly simple, leading to being sat in a coffee shop having a relaxed and friendly chat with Pat Dancer and Andy Jennings.

This was a massive turning point and deciding factor for me as it alleviated all preconceptions and fears in what Freemasonry was all about and how it would impact upon my life.
I left the meeting feeling thoroughly motivated and excited to see where this new path would lead.
At my initiation I must admit I was oddly concerned and anxious. I had adhered to the great advice from Pat and Andy to ‘not’ bother looking into what would happen via Google and to just take it as it comes and enjoy the process. And although truth be told… I still do not really know what happened on that night (I have been informed that I will find out as time goes on and my journey as a Freemason develops) but what I will say is it was nothing I felt concerned about or have cause to worry. It was on the whole, a thoroughly fun night and at times I felt my belly aching due to laughter!
I now stand proud to call myself a Freemason
