Dorset Freemasonry masonic quiz
After a break, largely due to the interruption caused by Covid, the refreshed Dorset quiz is back with a bang and the first two rounds have been carried out with great skill by the quiz team under the watchful eye of Mike Parkes, Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
The first round was held in Blandford, and hosted by the lodge of Honour and Friendship, No. 1266.
The teams:

2. Lodge of Honour and Friendship No. 1266 (Blandford)
3. Amphibious Lodge No. 9050 (Wimborne)
4. Ted’s babies (unofficial) (Blandford)
Congratulations to the worthy winners and host Lodge, the Lodge of Honour and Friendship No. 1266, who go through to the final on the 24th of October at Wimborne.
Mike Parkes said, “The first heat of the refreshed provincial quiz went very well and I am delighted that all the teams embraced the opportunity and achieved the aims of the quiz of visiting, learning and having fun”.

The second heat of the Provincial Quiz was hosted by the Lodge of Friendship and Sincerity No. 472 at Shaftsbury.
The teams:

2. King’s Court Lodge No. 2689 (Gillingham)
3. The Dorset Sportsmen’s Lodge No. 9942 (Wimborne)
The newly revamped quiz is full of fun and humour with points awarded for debonair sock vibrancy.

The third heat will take place at Lyme Regis on Monday 12 June, where the hosts, Montagu Lodge No. 665, will battle against United Service Lodge No. 3473, Trinity Lodge No. 8025, Brownsea Island Lodge No 9689 and the Three Pillars Club.
