Brethren, welcome to 2025,
This year we see the completion of the 2025 festival culminating in the Festival Finale at Weymouth Pavilion on the 26th of April, if you are able to, please join us for this event, it would be great to see you there as we celebrate the success of this Festival.
We now have Hermes which will assist with the administration of our Lodges and Chapters and will make staying in touch with our members easier and harder for issues to be missed.
Grand Lodge have announced that in addition to Hermes, Portal is coming to Dorset soon. Portal will enable you to have greater control over your own data, will enable us to have a clearer picture of skills and resources in the province and will make it easier for you to stay in touch with each other and plan your masonic activities.
The Membership Challenge is an invitation to all members to introduce new members to our enjoyable organisation. One Journey One Organisation is something you will hear a lot of; this refers to ever closer links between The Craft and The Royal Arch, and the essence of the Preliminary Declaration on page 1, Book of Constitutions. The Royal Arch is an important step in Freemasonry, and we should do all we can to facilitate this to our fellow members.
What is your Masonic new year’s resolution?
If I ask you all to consider our future, what would you like to achieve in the coming year? Areas relating to ritual, finance, our buildings, charity, service, friendship, companionship, and enjoyment?
Please add your goal to this list and make it achievable. And please remember share your endeavours, Keeping in Touch, Creates a Team.
Above all, I wish for you to get the most out of your freemasonry in Dorset in 2025, I want you to enjoy it, feel as though it is good value and that you are valued by it, support each other to grow as individuals, and to grow the organisation together.
