The Dorset Masonic Shooting Association is a club open to all Freemasons, regardless of rank or age.
A firearms certificate is not required to join the club and ‘club’ guns are available for use at all of our events.
At present there isn’t a joining fee. We are an informal club and we try to keep things relaxed and enjoyable. If you are interested in taking part or would like to know more please make contact and we will add you to our communications list, be it WhatsApp or email. We also have Instagram and twitter accounts.
Our main meeting usually entails a clay shoot approximately every three months at Purbeck Shooting School in Wareham. We enjoy a breakfast bap with a cup of coffee followed by a 50 clay shoot. Everything you need on the day is covered in the cost, which is currently £40. The shoots are usually attended by around 55 members from all different lodges, as well as friends and family.
Our members are involved in all types of shooting disciplines such as rifle shooting, deer stalking, pest control and target shooting.
As well as having fun our events have raised over £10,000 for various charities, such as Helping Homeless Veterans UK, Dorset And Somerset Air Ambulance and Forest Holme Hospice, to name a few.
